Zoe-perry

Perry is the daughter of Laurie Metcalf (actor) and Jeff Perry, a director. On the ABC sitcom Roseanne (in flashback) her mother played Jackie Harris in two of Perry's early TV appearances. Her parents, however, didn't want her to play an acting career until she was an adult, fearing the effects of stress. Perry confessed that she wasn't happy in school However, she started acting as an opportunity to make new individuals while at Northwestern University after switching from Boston University. Perry was able to begin her acting career in New York after graduation, having minor roles in Law & Order: Criminal Intent. However, the feeling of homelessness made Perry go back to California to work as a theater actress. In 2013, she appeared in The Other Place on Broadway together with her mom. In 2015, she performed with her father and Kevin McKidd in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning film Anna Christie with the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble in West Los Angeles. In the year 2016, Perry appeared on nine episodes on ABC's drama The Family. In 2017 she had an recurring role in the ABC Political thriller Scandal starring her father. In addition, she appeared on her role on the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory spin-off Young Sheldon as a version younger Mary Cooper, Sheldon Cooper's mom. The character was assigned to her by way of audition in spite of the fact that she has a family tie with the character.
