Ina Garden is a famous American cookbook author who has been awarded Emmy award. She hosts the oldest Food Network program, Barefoot Contessa. The show premiered in 2002. It will air for another 27 years. Ina started her career as a writer at the White House, writing the nuclear energy budget and policy papers. She initially found her career interesting and stimulating but eventually lost interest and purchased a tiny speciality store for food named Barefoot Contessa. She spent eighteen years making the store extremely successful prior to selling it before acquiring a pen and writing her first book. There were many more cookbooks as well as magazine columns that were added. A different hit was her Food Network Television show. She also sells a range of products ranging from cooking supplies to storage and equipment. Ina is an aspiring cook that hasn't been to a cooking class or been in the kitchen. Her name is ascribed to her easy approach to cooking and effortless entertaining. Her most well-known recipes include easy recipes like Skillet Roasted Lemon Chicken Macaroni, Cheese and made with beef Bourguignon, and Balsamic-Roasted Brussels Sprouts.
