David Muir (born August 25 1948) is a famous American journalist anchor, reporter and anchor. Most well-known is for World News Tonight. The most viewed news channel that airs in America can be described as his spectacular news program featuring celebrity gossips animations, animated gestures and video clips. In addition, he has the Emmy-nominated show Made In America. Before taking on ABC World News Tonight, He was the main substitute for his predecessor Diane Sawyer. Some of his primetime ABC News specials include Breaking Point and Heroin in America as well as Flashpoint - Refugees from America. He has traveled around the globe covering stories that concern Gaza Egypt Iran Somalia Japan Peru Ukraine Haiti and the Gulf of Mexico. He has won numerous Emmy Awards Edward R. Murrow Award as well as recognition from The Associated Press.
