Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise, an American actor and writer, is most famous for her role as Ginger Grant on the television show Gilligan's Island in 1960s. Her stage work began in the mid 1950s when she appeared in Two's Company, a Bettle-Davis musical. In the following years, she appeared in many Broadway productions, before becoming famous in the national stage scene with Li'l Abner's in 1957. In 1957, she also launched her first album of music named It's time to Tina. Louise began her journey into Hollywood as Griselda Walden, a character from God's little Acre, a dramatic film that debuted in 1958.The film was praised widely as well as Louise was awarded the Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the Year category. During this time she enrolled into Actors Studio in New York and developed her association to Lee Strasberg as his student. The year 1964 saw her signing with CBS and played Ginger Grant. Louise continued to have a successful professional career, balancing Broadway television with Hollywood as well as portraying a more serious, as opposed to her glamour-doll image had been portrayed as.
