The divorce of her parents resulted in a rough childhood which was exacerbated by the fact that they raised her by both her mother and father. She pursued a career in acting after taking on the role of an actor for various Australian movies after she dropped out of university in order to support herself financially. Her move to Hollywood and established herself after initially being rejected and failing at the box office. Amid mixed reviews her film struggled to make it with the fiercely popular entertainment market. She started her own production firm called Avakea Productions along with Australian actors Tahyna Tozzi and Nathalie Kelley and learned martial arts in order to land roles in adventure film. She also became the brand ambassador for "Modern Darling" collection by Sydney jeweler Jan Logan. Mark Webber, an actor and director, with whom she has two children as well as a stepson of his previous marriage. Her career is at its peak after many the years of battling.
